With a little digging, though, I did find that Saberhagen and Rodriguez were on opposing sides in the 1994 All-Star Game (Sabes didn't appear). And I-Rod took six ABs against Saberhagen in 1998 and 1999: 1-for-6 with a double.
To be fair, I was born in 1984 and moved to Dallas when I was 9. Pudge Rodriguez was a pretty significant part of my baseball coming-of-age. :D

FWIW, Sid Gautreaux had first dibs on “Pudge,” then Fred Haney, Fisk, and Rodriguez. Haney was the only non-catcher.
