My early live remembrance of Maddux was seeing him lose to his older brother Mike in Philadelphia on July 31, 1988. It was quite shocking but I certainly didn't expect Greg to win more games than any pitcher since Warren Spahn and no one else will catch 355 EVER!

That’s probably true, but the game changes over time. I wasn’t so sure in the 1980s we’d ever see another 50-homer season.

I love that Gary Pettis sent his younger brother to be in his 1985 Topps card. It's one of those fun unvaluable cards that I love. But to see Bartolo Colon's 1996 Fleer Excel card is striking when compared to his final cards: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/TCQAAOSwTyJjpv6i/s-l1200.jpg
