The hardest part of this one was justifying what card to pick. So I went to my birth year Topps set and pulled out the funniest name on the checklist that I'd never heard of. So here's Bump Wills, out of Arizona State, former 2B for the Rangers: https://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/pics/bump_wills_autograph.jpg
Dick Calmus. I started collecting Topps baseball cards in 1968 and I’ve been a huge Cubs fan all of my life. Sometime around 2002 or 2003, I decided to finish my Topps 1968 set. I was at a local card show looking through a box of Topps 1968 cards, when I found the Dick Calmus card and he was a former Cubs player. I had never heard of Dick Calmus so it was off to BB-Ref to look him up. He broke in with the Dodgers in ‘63 or ‘64, but had mostly pitched in the minors since then. The Cubs picked him up and he started one game late in the ‘67 season. That was enough for Topps to include him in the ‘68 set. He was not wearing a cap on the card and the uniform appears to be a Dodgers uniform, but he is clearly listed as a Cubs player.

Bump was a pretty good player, and that card (and its variation) is sort of a hobby classic.

Cool card. That could be the Cubs collared warmup under a road jersey, a la the 1967 Cal Coonce.
