Bill Freehan just looks like a catcher. Mike Piazza didn’t especially look like a catcher. Carlton Fisk looks like a catcher. McCarver, Bench, Grote, all maybe seem like a catcher. Elton Howard not so much.
There does seem to be a certain look. Kyle Schwarber started as a catcher — moved elsewhere but hasn’t shed the look.
